Health Guarantee
This agreement is between the Provider (me) and the Recipient (you) regarding the sale of bird(s). By purchasing, you agree to the following terms:
Birds Sold in Good Health
Every bird is thoroughly examined by me and sold in good health at the time of sale. All breeder birds are tested and guaranteed negative for PBFD, Polyoma Virus, Psittacosis, and Borna Virus, ensuring the babies are disease-free. Periodic random testing of babies is conducted for added assurance.
Payment Method & Deposit Policy
A $100 deposit is required to hold a bird and is non-refundable if you cancel the purchase. This ensures serious buyers only. Accepted payment methods include Zelle and Venmo (Friends and Family).
Buyer's Responsibility
By purchasing, you acknowledge that you have conducted thorough research on the species you are buying and have a basic understanding of its specific care needs. This includes providing a safe and clean environment, proper nutrition, and regular veterinary care to ensure your bird’s health and well-being. Provider is not responsible for any damages caused by the bird(s) after the sale.
Post-Purchase Health Examination
The bird(s) are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of delivery. You are encouraged to have the bird(s) examined by a certified avian or exotic veterinarian within 5 days of delivery.
If a serious health issue affecting the bird's well-being is confirmed by the vet, you can either:
-
Return the bird(s) for a full refund, or
-
Exchange the bird(s) for a replacement of the same type (if available).
Refunds or replacements require the bird(s) to be returned to provider first. A new agreement will be signed for any replacement bird(s). Provider is not responsible for any minor gram-negative or gram-positive bacterial or fungal issues caused by stress unless deemed severe or life-threatening by a certified avian veterinarian. If you don’t have the bird(s) examined by a veterinarian within 5 days of delivery, you accept the bird(s) "AS IS" and waive any health guarantees.
Refund Policy for Post-Sale Deaths
-
If the bird(s) die after you’ve received them, you must have a necropsy performed within 72 hours to determine the cause of death.
-
A certified veterinarian or lab must complete the necropsy.
-
Photos of the deceased bird(s) must also be provided along with documentation.
-
Refunds are only considered if the necropsy confirms a pre-existing health issue.
