Reserve Bird | Vadaxin's Aviary

Thank you for your interest in one of my wonderful birds! My aim is to provide families and individuals with a joyful and healthy companion for years to come. If you're a breeder seeking to acquire breeding birds, you're also in the right place! Below are the terms and agreements to review before purchasing one of my birds.

**Deposit Policy**

I have a strict no-refund policy in place. Any bird reserved for over 3 days requires a $100 non-refundable deposit, which will be deducted from the total amount due. Reservations operate on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning no bird will be reserved after 3 days if deposit is not placed. This non-refundable deposit ensures fairness for the birds, myself, and the time and effort involved in their care, while also indicating a serious commitment from buyers. If the initial arrangement doesn’t work out, this deposit can be used towards a future bird. Refunds are only possible if I am unable to sell the bird(s) for any reason. The remaining balance must be paid in full at the time of pickup; otherwise, the bird(s) will not be sold. For shipments through Delta Airlines, full payment and any additional shipping costs must be completed no later than the day before the flight.

Viewing Birds

To prevent any potential theft or disease from entering the property, visitors cannot access the property for any reason or handle birds until day of purchase which takes place in a public setting. This is a hobby I do in a family home, and I do not have a public storefront like a pet store would. We have implemented strict biosecurity measures to ensure the birds' safety. While this may be confusing and might even discourage some people, please know that by restricting public access I can guarantee you receive a healthy disease-free bird. I am more than happy to provide videos, pictures, and even video chats to help you find the perfect match.

Health Guarantee

All bird/s will come banded which include my breeder initials, hatch year, and I.d. number. Bands are placed at 2 weeks old when the bird is small enough for me to place one on their foot. Banding helps me and the owner keep record of which bird belongs to who. If you do not wish to have a band on your bird then it will have to be professionally removed by your local vet. Bird/s will come fully flighted but clipping can be done if requested in advance. Bird/s will be fully weaned prior to you receiving (unless specified in unique cases), feeding on pellets, sprouts, and seed mix for a healthy start. Birds are guaranteed to be free from PBFD, Polyoma Virus, Psittacosis, and Borna Virus. Full disease panels can be done for your record prior to the bird/s leaving with an $80 per bird fee and a 14 day turn around. In the unlikely event of a positive result, both your bird/s money and lab expense will be 100% refunded, no questions asked. DNA sexing is done on most birds with price already included in the original amount. Birds sold as unsexed can be DNA sexed for $25. Processing takes roughly 7 days, included will be an electronic PDF or screenshot of results.

Refund/Return Policy

Birds will not be exchanged regardless of reasoning. You have 7 days from the date of purchase to return the bird/s back to me for a 50% refund in the unfortunate event you can no longer keep your bird/s. Bird/s will be evaluated and must be cleared as healthy before issuing a refund. Refunds will be returned with whatever payment method is convenient for me. Please take into consideration that just like humans, birds also develop personalities as they grow and develop into adults. Your once sweet bird can become an aggressive hormonal bird as they age. If after 7 days you no longer feel fit to care for your bird/s, I will happily take full possession free of charge and either keep with me or find a suitable home. For privacy reasons, please be advised that once birds are surrendered to me I cannot disclose who or where the bird has gone to.

Sales

All bird/s are guaranteed to be in healthy condition and free from any illness at the time of sale, therefore all sales are FINAL with the exception of the return policy.
